Rock
Praise be to the Lord my Rock,
who trains my hands for war,
my fingers for battle.
He is my loving God and my fortress,
my stronghold and my deliverer
my shield, in whom I take refuge,
who subdues peoples under me.
O Lord, what is man that you care for him,
the son of man that you think of him?
Man is like a breath;
his days are like a fleeting shadow.
~Psalm 144:1-5

Out of steam

Shan and I are officially exhausted! In the past week we have ventured up and down the streets, slums, & plush areas of Tacoma, been hired on to teach a computer program at a hospital, found new shelter, read a lot, procrastinated on homework, watched Lost, went to chemo, cleaned out old boxes in the garage, met with women, smelled like coffee, experienced God's huge provision and blessings... now we are officially wiped out... down for the count... ready for Zzzzzs... and thankful for every moment.
Yeah, so tired, Shan and I have the same blog entry, thanks Shan.

What's Up?
We are to keep our eyes focused on what is unseen and not what is seen......boy is this a tough lesson to grasp, but an important one. As I ponder this principle He's given to us in His Word my mind goes in a million different directions as I still am in search of work since coming out to the beautiful state of Washington. However, God is definitely using this time to stretch, teach, grow, and reveal so much about Himself to me during these last couple of months. So as I'm simultaneously looking for work, Ive been able to work and help out at the houseboats that Shan's mom rents out here in the harbor. (Picture of boat won't come up so I'll do it later). So as my mind begins to wonder and I sometimes:0) alright most often times take matters into my own hands, I'm learning how to truly depend on Jesus as these scriptures were brought to my mind the other day.
Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. ~2 Corinthians 4:16-18
Once again, I need to let go and let Him carry out His plan and lay my own aside. Oh the joys of experiencing and growing in Him!
